Description
Students from Year 3 to Year 12 are invited to participate in the 2021 Australian Mathematics Competition. In Secondary School, we encourage all students to participate in this competition, especially students who have been recommended by their teacher to enter the competition. In the Primary School, we encourage students with a special interest in Mathematics or students achieving high levels in Mathematics to take part in this competition. Entering such a competition enables the College staff to determine how our Mathematics students compare in relation to other students across the State and Nationally. The testing also provides the students and the College with details of specific areas of strengths and weaknesses. Entrants in years 3–6 are asked to solve 30 problems in 60 minutes, while those in years 7–12 have 75 minutes to solve more complex problems.
